Mr. Rowley has over 30 years of experience in employment law. About 16 years ago Mr. Rowley began performing independent, objective investigations of complaints and disputes that arise in the workplace and this has become the primary focus of his practice. Mr. Rowley has performed in excess of 200 workplace investigations for both public and private employers. The investigations have included a wide variety of issues including sexual harassment, hostile work environment, discrimination, corporate mismanagement, and alleged violations of the Fair Political Practices Act. Mr. Rowley is a Sustaining Member of the Association of Workplace Investigators and a member of the Guiding Principles Committee.
Mr. Rowley continues to advise, assist and consult with private employers regarding employment law issues. Such matters include wage and hour questions, the discipline and/or termination of employees, employee handbooks and employee complaints. In addition, Mr. Rowley handles employment law litigation, including discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims for both employers and employees.
In the business litigation arena, Mr. Rowley has significant experience handling real estate disputes, commercial/business disputes, agricultural disputes, partnership dissolutions, and contract disputes.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Rowley worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for two years for Presiding Justice George A. Brown of the Fifth District Court of Appeal in Fresno. Upon completion of the clerkship, Mr. Rowley joined the law firm of Thomas, Snell, Jamison, Russell and Asperger where he became a partner four years later. In 1992 Mr. Rowley formed his own firm and in 2001 he became Of Counsel with Bacigalupi, Neufeld & Rowley. Mr. Rowley joined our firm as an Of Counsel attorney in 2008.
